South Tour (with lunch)
Our tour to the South West part of Mauritius offers the most spectacular sceneries of the island. A stop at Trou aux Cerfs, the dormant volcanic crater will offer panoramic view of nearby towns and mountains. Visit one of the most ancient places of pilgrimage in Mauritius, Grand Bassin, and discover the fascinating Hindu Gods and Goddesses who seems to be the guardians of that peaceful area. At the scenic Black River Gorges, where we have a magnificent view over the endemic forest of the island. Lunch will be served at the breath-taking panoramic restaurant Le Chamarel. End this beautiful tour at Chamarel Geopark for the waterfalls and at the extraordinary seven coloured earths, resulting of the past volcanic activities of the island. As a nice add-on, you will have also stunning sceneries along the way back to the hotel: Coastal views, sugar canes fields, towns and villages.

SPOUSE TOUR ON MONDAY 11th NOVEMBER
Port-Louis, Pamplemousses and Sugar World (no lunch)
Discover Port-Louis. Drive through Chinatown and in front of Jummah Mosque, a regional quarter of the past adversities pulled people together, to fight for survival and progress of their kinsmen. Stop at La Citadelle, this ancient British fortress overlooking the Capital and harbour, and over the famous racetrack Champs de Mars, which is the one of oldest in the Southern Hemisphere. You will have some time to collect souvenirs or get some nice shopping spree at Caudan Waterfront. The next visit is at the famous Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, which were established in 1769, and where you can find rare Mascarene plants and a wide variety of palm trees. The excellent museum Sugar World in the former Beau Plan sugar factory not only tells the story of sugar in fascinating detail, but along the way covers the history of Mauritius, slavery, rum trade and more. It is a tribute to all those men and women who have worked so hard to develop the island and its industries.
