You are cordially invited to attend the African Aviation Industry Group AeroPolitical Forum on Tuesday, 12th November, 2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Mauritius. The Forum will be held immediately after the conclusion of the 51st AFRAA AGA at 14.30pm. The African Aviation Industry Group (AAIG) is an industry coalition of key industry stakeholders committed to driving the aviation public policy agenda in Africa.
This event presents a unique opportunity for key stakeholders in African Aviation to come together and discuss and make recommendations to improve the fiscal and regulatory environment for African Aviation. Convened under the theme - African Aviation Post SAATM: A Practical Collaborative Guide for Stakeholders, the Africa Aeropolitical Forum will articulate workable solutions to current challenges in our industry whilst also looking to strategic industry priorities for the future.
The Forum will review developments on issues including intra-Africa connectivity, African airline profitability, a cost-effective operational environment (taxes and charges), an efficient regulatory framework and much more. It is a great opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the industry.
As has become customary, the Forum will provide an update on action items from the last event in 2018 and will also discuss key events from 2019. In addition, the Forum will address the regional and global prospects for air transport in 2020 and an interactive session will be held to agree the industry focus for 2020. It presents a unique opportunity to directly influence the policy focus for African Aviation.
We kindly ask that you plan to attend as part of your itinerary for the 51st AFRAA AGA, as the meeting will hold immediately after.
We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday, 12th of November, 2019 at 14.30pm.
